Sleek Traditional - Hinsdale

In collaboration with Tiburon Builders, we designed a landscape for this Hinsdale new build that balances a sleek, modern aesthetic with traditional bones. The front of the property is defined by a charcoal brick circular driveway laid in a meticulous herringbone pattern with a triple soldier course border. A secondary drive provides seamless access to the garage, ensuring the home’s curb appeal remains the primary focus.

The backyard was envisioned as a private sanctuary, shielded by large evergreens and custom fencing details. To maintain architectural consistency, we matched the stone for the custom masonry fire pit and garden walls directly to the home’s exterior. The main terrace features large Smoky Mountain stone slabs, chosen for their neutral gray tones and clean lines, creating a sophisticated space for outdoor living.

Designed for hosting, the backyard includes a dedicated grilling area with a high-top countertop, perfect for entertaining throughout the seasons. As the landscape moves away from the formal patio, the hardscape transitions to irregular flagstone stepping stones, adding a natural touch to the garden's perimeter while maintaining the project's refined spirit.
